Thunderstorm Safety Policy

When lightning and thunder are less than 20 secs apart:

1. Move quickly but carefully off a ridge top or out from a clearing.
  Don’t slip, don’t hit anything, and don’t get separated.

2. Crouch down with both feet touching each other and no other body part touching the ground: This position is also used in a tent at night.

3.Stay about 20 feet from other team members.
