RANALLI LEADS SBP ON THE STAR-LEDGER’S ALL-PREP TEAM
Senior is the lone representative on First Team

Rob Ranalli, who was the only St. Benedict’s wrestler to win a title in the New Jersey Prep Championships last month, is now the sole member of coach Solomon Fleckman’s team to grace First Team on The Star-Ledger’s All-Prep squad for the 2009-2010 campaign.

Ranalli, a senior, who won the state title at 140 pounds, was followed on Second Team by Zach Jacobs (119), Whitney Forte (125), Matt Aaron (130), Orchirbat Bayanjaral (145), Bobby Bah (152), Isaiah Cromwell (189) and Riad Abu-Smail.

National Prep runner-up Chris Dowdy (135 pounds), who lost to First Teamer Austin Ormsbee of Blair in the national final and Second Teamer, Mike Tulley of Peddie, during the season, was selected on Third Team. He was joined there by Anthony Johns (112), Greg Casimir (171) and Agbon Edomwonyi (Hwt.).

The Gray Bees, which finished the year with a 13-10 slate, wound up No. 2 in the state Prep rankings behind Blair (17-1).
