GRAY BEES WILL BE STAYING HOME THIS WEEKEND

The wrestling team’s annual trip to the Washington, D.C. this weekend has been cancelled due to weather conditions in the D.C. area. The St. Albans Invitational, a tournament the Gray Bees placed third last year, was schedule for Friday and Saturday.

“We are sorry to do this,” said Doug Boswell, St. Albans Assistant Director of Athletics. “But logistically and for the safety of the participants and tournament officials, we feel that this is the appropriate decision to make.”

The D.C. area was hit with almost two feet of snow over the weekend and was in the midst of another storm on Wednesday when this decision was announced. Coach Solomon Fleckman’s team will now return to action in the New Jersey Prep Championship on Feb. 20 at Blair Academy. The Gray Bees placed second in the state preps last year.
