DRAMA GUILD HOLDS A NUMBER OF SPECIAL EVENTS SURROUNDING ITS FALL PRODUCTION
A talkback session and two events involving Drama Guild Alumni highlight weekend

St. Benedict's Drama Guild held its Fall Production of "Incident at Vichy" by Arthur Miller, produced through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., from Nov. 17-20 in Colin Auditorium.

The entire production was aided by former alumni who participated in the play. The event filled weekend surrounding the play kicked off following Friday’s staging when a talkback session about issues of diversity and tolerance.

The Nov. 19 show held two events featuring alums from the Drama Guild.

The Saturday matinee was preceded by a Career Seminar Conlin Auditorium. Past Drama Guild members under the direction of current St. Benedict’s Director Pat Flynn were panelist and offered career advice to current students at The Hive who are interested in a career path in the arts. The panel included Greg Thornton '67, Dan Quinn '70, Matt Jenifer '03, Jason Simmons '05, Elliott Hyppolite '09 and Erby Beauvil '12. It also featured the Bongiorno's, Marylou and Jerome, the filmakers of the documentary on St. Benedict's Prep entitled, "The Rule."

Following the 4 p.m. showing of production "Incident at Vichy," St. Benedict’s held a reception for all former Drama Guild members. Nearly 50 Drama Guild alums turned out for the events and to watch the student performance.
