The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is St. Benedict’s annual giving campaign. It provides immediately spendable funding that supports The Hive’s yearly operating budget including:
- Financial aid
- Faculty support
- Athletics
- Technology
- Art and Music
- The Backpacking Project
- The Freshman Overnight
- All School activities and programs
The Annual Fund is essential to annual operations: every $500 given to The Hive is equivalent to the income generated by $10,000 in endowed funds. While we hope all donors will make annual unrestricted gifts, you may direct your gift for a specific purpose if so desired.
The Power of Participation
Each gift to St. Benedict’s, regardless of size, makes a powerful statement about the transformative education the School provides. Participation is as important as the amount you give. Many small gifts add up to a large gift. Last year, the Annual Fund received almost 2,000 gifts of less than $1,000 and they amounted to nearly $400,000 in immediately spendable funds for SBP.
Recurring Gifts
Because annual gifts are used in the year they are given, they have immediate impact on the School. For that reason, it is important to make a gift to the Annual Fund every year. To ensure they are counted each year, many donors elect to set up a recurring gift. Recurring gifts can be made using a credit card on a weekly or monthly basis. An equal amount will be charged each period, allowing donors to maximize their investment by spreading it out over time.
