Summary Description:
St. Benedict’s Preparatory School is seeking a part-time records officer, responsible for supporting the School’s efforts to grow donor participation and steward its most generous benefactors. The Records Officer will work in concert with the senior director of advancement on data management initiatives to bolster St. Benedict’s advancement operations and will support the recordkeeping systems utilized by the Advancement team and Business office.
This is a part-time (20-hours per week) position. Compensation is $15 per hour.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and report upon the Advancement Office’s prospect moves management system;
- Assist with assorted database records projects to ensure data integrity and support Advancement projects;
- Work with and support leadership gift officers to develop and implement stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with major donors;
- Serve as primary back-up for gift entry;
- Assist Director of Annual Giving with annual giving and gift stewardship, as assigned;
- Assist Director of Special Events with the execution of alumni and donor events, including the School’s annual Headmaster’s Reception for leadership-level donors and prospects;
- Exhibition of a positive, team-centered and self-motivated demeanor;
- Ability to work effectively both on site and remotely, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Three years of experience in fundraising, data management or relevant field is recommended.
Other Considerations:
Successful candidates must demonstrate skills in data entry, organization, and attention to detail. Prior experience with donor databases and prospect tracking systems, particularly Raiser’s Edge, is preferred. The selected candidate will have experience in or an acumen for data management and will prove him/herself to be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple requests. Creativity, curiosity, a sense of humor, high energy, and an enthusiasm for meeting and working with a wide range of individuals is required. Candidates will possess a commitment to the ideals of Benedictine education.
