Did you know?

90% of Americans do not itemize their charitable deductions. If you’re one of them, the CARES Act allows you to deduct donations to charity of up to $300 on your 2020 federal tax return, even if you take the standard deduction. Married-filing-jointly taxpayers will get an above-the-line deduction of up to $600. This means you can get a tax benefit for giving to St. Benedict's Prep even if you normally don't itemize your deductions. For more information, please be sure to contact your tax advisor.

Virtual Convocation has become a must-see staple as alums have been coming out in droves for our morning prayer, song and affirmations. Convocation has become a virtual Who’s Who for alumni, not only from local areas, but also from the West Coast, where it’s not even 6 a.m. when Convo begins, and from grads from around the world. Beginning on Monday (Sept. 14), Convo returns at 8:00 a.m. for Fall Term (half-hour earlier than Summer Phase). Tune in to our YouTube page to watch Convo live or to watch a replay.

Amazon Smiles on St. Benedict's: The Hive participates in Amazon's 'Smile' program. Through the program, Amazon contributes an amount equal to .5% of the total of your purchase (at no additional cost to you) to a charity of your choice. To make St. Benedict's your designated charity, go to smile.amazon.com, and when prompted for a charity, enter "St. Benedict's Newark." Then find "St. Benedict's Preparatory School" among the different institutions with similar names to ours. You shop, St. Benedict’s benefits!
