ATHLETICS

St. Benedict’s Prep, home of the Gray Bees, offers 33 sports, including 20 at the varsity level. Athletics at Benedict’s is about more than competition; it's about character, camaraderie and embracing values that withstand a lifetime. The Hive has produced Olympians, professional athletes and world-renowned coaches, all guided by the ideals that define us: Benedict’s Hates a Quitter and Whatever Hurts My Brother or My Sister Hurts Me.

Our student-athletes are forged through discipline, teamwork and academic rigor. They learn that true victory is the result of effort, responsibility and mutual support, both on the field and in life.

The property at 520 MLK Blvd. provides student-athletes with facilities that reflect our unwavering commitment to excellence, including two gymnasiums, two multi-use outdoor fields, the Cetrulo Family Fencing Center, an outdoor running track and state-of-the-art locker rooms and training centers. At St. Benedict’s Prep, athletics is a powerful classroom where the most important lessons are not learned on the stat sheet. They are learned through perseverance, by standing up for one another and through humble leadership.

The Hive is where community is built for life, and champions are made on the field, on the court and beyond.
