Girls Varsity Wrestling

In its first year competing, the Girls Wrestling team is building an identity of hard work, growth and adaptability. Leaning on the values that have long sustained St. Benedict’s Prep, the girls show up for each other. They don’t give up when the going gets tough. And they figure it out together.

At The Hive, a Gray Bee gives up what they want for what we need, and on the mat it’s no different. They become the person the other needs them to be: a warm-up partner, a coach or a loud voice on the sideline. Sometimes all three.

Coach Mogi Baatar ’06, three-time National Prep medalist, three-time NCAA Qualifier and NCAA DIII All-American at St. John’s University in Minnesota, and the first Mongolian student to wrestle at The Hive, leads the Gray Bees. Developing wrestlers that can rely on each other and carrying the storied Gray Bee Wrestling name to the girls side, is top priority.

A growing sport in New Jersey, girls wrestling has created new opportunities for our Gray Bees. And at The Hive, it’s just getting started.
