Varsity Soccer

Boys Soccer at St. Benedict’s Prep is more than a sport; it’s a tradition of excellence, leadership and brotherhood.

Recognized as one of the premier high school soccer programs in the United States, the Gray Bees have earned 15 national championships and numerous state titles, while consistently ranking among the top teams in the nation. Beyond the trophies, the program is defined by its culture of discipline, resilience and responsibility to one another, values rooted in the Benedict’s ethos: “Whatever hurts my brother or my sister hurts me.”

Our coaching staff combines elite technical training with mentorship that develops the whole student-athlete. Players sharpen their skills, strengthen their character and learn to lead both on the field and in life. Graduates have gone on to thrive at top universities such as Maryland, NC State, Clemson and Virginia, and many have advanced to compete professionally in the MLS, international leagues and national teams. Notable alumni include Tab Ramos '84, Claudio Reyna '91, Gregg Berhalter '91, Ransford Gyan '24 (Clemson), Celio Pompeu '19 (St. Louis City SC) and Kwaku Agyabeng '25 (Sporting KC).

At St. Benedict’s Prep, soccer is not just about winning. It’s about becoming resilient, prepared and deeply connected to something bigger than yourself.
