Varsity Water Polo

Water Polo at The Hive blends grit, teamwork and tradition in and out of the pool. Since its inception in 1989, the Gray Bees have built a program rooted in community and resilience. For decades, Dr. Glenn Cassidy ’90 has been at the heart of that growth as a player, coach and mentor who helped shape water polo into a defining part of Benedict’s athletics. Today, the program continues to thrive under head coach Nico Jasbon, who carries forward the same values of accountability and support, always embracing the spirit of “give up what you want for what we need.”

Gray Bees Water Polo has earned recognition across New Jersey for its competitive play and commitment to growth. The program pushes student-athletes to excel in one of the toughest sports while preparing them to lead in every arena of life. At St. Benedict’s, water polo isn’t just a sport, it’s another arena where resilience, unity and Gray Bee pride shine strongest.
