Shore Reunion The Breakers, Spring Lake
Nearly 200 alumni and friends attended the Shore Reunion for alumni who graduated 50 years ago or more at the Breakers in Spring Lake on June 9. The class with the greatest number of attendees was 1964 with 13 alumni in attendance.
And the most senior alumnus was John Meehan ’45, accompanied by his wife, Marie. The class of 1967 of Benedictine Academy had four alumnae at the reunion and the most senior of those was Mary Doran ’63.
Congratulations to all the men and women who came out to one of our most popular events and thank you for your continued support.
At the reunion, Pete Connell ’64 and his wife, Laura, met with Joshua Johnson ’24, the student beneficiary of the Connell Family Endowed Scholarship.
Alumni Golf Outing Weequahic Park
Approximately 80 golfers, including alumni and friends of St. Benedict’s Prep, enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, fellowship, food and awards at the annual Alumni Golf Outing on June 1.
This outing, planned to coincide with the Graduation Weekend, was run by the St. Benedict’s Alumni Association in partnership with the Advancement Office. It helps provide grants for the School’s teams and clubs. Steve Wright ’83 said, “We all had a blast and look forward to seeing a much larger crowd at next year’s event!”
Communion Breakfast
At the Annual Communion Breakfast on March 19, Grace G. Lenahan was named Distinguished Teacher and the Benedictine Monks of Newark Abbey were presented with Distinguished Service Award.
