“You can be any good thing you want to be.” The St. Benedict’s Prep affirmation has come to fruition for members of the Class of 2023 who began new journeys into higher education, the military, public service academies, trade school and other opportunities this fall. The personalized program developed by the Office of College Placement and Career Development ensured post-graduation plans for nearly 100% of graduates in the Girls and Boys Prep Divisions.
“You can be any good thing you want to be.”
Most Benedict’s graduates are attending a host of two and four-year colleges — Ivies, public universities, Catholic and Jesuit colleges and universities, HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and liberal arts colleges — throughout the region and country.
Approximately 12% of graduates are pursuing a diverse range of paths that include culinary school, the U.S. Air Force and Coast Guard, police and fire academies, as well as vocational schools that train high school graduates for the automotive industry and skilled trades. The Class of 2024 got a head start on college placement and career planning when Summer Phase began on July 31.
