Green Bees Revive Recycling

There’s more to the separation of recyclables than meets the eye. When Glenn Cassidy, Ed.D. ’90, Director of the Fr. Mark Payne Institute, suggested returning to the practice paused during COVID-19, The Hive turned to the Green Bees Club to get the job done. The club, co-led by Alex Fox ’27 and Gabriel Pulley ’27, is organizing logistics for a program that will reduce landfill waste and turn more recyclables into useful resources.

Green Bees worked with the School administration, facilities and vendors to replace the cafeteria’s disposable tableware with eco-friendly trays, plates and more. They are currently coordinating the placement of separate recycling bins for paper, plastic, aluminum and composting throughout the Property that will be ready for Fall Term.
