Monkfest
Monkfest, the annual family event held in late summer by the Benedictines of Newark Abbey, drew its largest attendance ever on August 17. Students, faculty, parents, alumni and parishioners enjoyed the hospitality of the monks, live performances by St. Benedict’s Prep Drumline, games and commemorative Monkfest cups. The annual gathering forges stronger ties among the monastery, School, St. Mary’s Church and the University Heights neighborhood.
