New Steward for The Hive

The Board of Trustees elected Nii-Daako Darko, D.O., M.B.A. ’96, a board-certified general/trauma surgeon with Penn Highlands Healthcare, to a three-year term in March, 2025. Dr. Darko is also the creator and host of the “Docs Outside the Box” podcast, a career-oriented show for healthcare providers that features engaging discussions about medicine, money and pop culture. 

Dr. Darko is a graduate of Lehigh University and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Morehouse School of Medicine and a fellowship in trauma and critical care at the University of Miami. 

Dr. Darko joins the 21-member board that is comprised of alumni, teammates and two Special Advisors who steward the mission, vision and financial health of St. Benedict’s Prep.
