Rev. Patrick Winbush, O.S.B., named Rector of St. Mary’s Church

Theology teacher. Campus minister. Vocations director. Rev. Patrick Winbush, O.S.B., has served in numerous capacities since joining Newark Abbey in 1999. In July 2025, Fr. Patrick became Rector of St. Mary’s Church, where he continues to serve the community with dedication. He is also continuing in his role as Abbey Sub-Prior. A member of the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus, Fr. Patrick was ordained to the priesthood in 2023. He is a graduate of Saint Peter’s University and the Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University.
