St. Benedict’s Prep Wins First Race

In an astonishing come-from-behind win, St. Benedict’s Prep won her first race at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky., on October 12. Racehorse owner Mike Caruso ’63 named the filly in honor of his alma mater and the three-year-old proved her belief in the Gray Bee mantra, “Benedict’s Hates a Quitter.” The win was the sixth race for St. Benedict’s Prep. Since the summer of 2022, the filly has also competed in races at Saratoga and Belmont.
