We love to cook!

Room 201 on the Elementary Division Property at Livingston Street is doing double duty these days. The second-grade classroom has a fully equipped kitchen, making it an ideal space for the new Junior Chefs Club. Open to students in Grades K-6, the club meets in mixed-grade groupings three times a week. Mixed-grade learning and activities (Kindergartners and sixth-graders cook together — and clean up — on Tuesday afternoons) are effective in fostering confidence, leadership and cooperation. 

The club is a popular one. Dean of the Elementary Division Sister Ann Marie Gass, S.S.J., also reports that Gray Bees love learning how to cook and their bespoke “Junior Chef of SBP” aprons.
