ST. BENEDICT’S REPRESENTED AT THE BENEDICTINE EDUCATORS NETWORK CONFERENCE
Our Drama Guild Director sat down with a video crew in Australia to discuss Stage Rage

November 2019

Educators from schools run by members of the Benedictine Order from all over the world took part in the Benedictine Educators Network (BENet) Conference in Sydney, Australia in October.

St. Benedict’s, which has been a staple at the BENet conferences in the past, was represented by faculty members and alumni/alumnae, Pat Flynn H’95, Director of the Drama Guild; Jim Duffy H’16, Dean of the Middle Division; and Rich Molina ’06, science teacher and fencing coach at The Hive.

BENet 2019 explored new models of governance in education embracing the diverse expressions of Benedictine spirituality. During their stay “Down Under,” the St. Benedict’s representatives held a workshop on the therapy program for students at The Hive entitled, Stage Rage.

Flynn also did a video interview with a local e-magazine, “The Good Oil,” to discuss a drama therapy program she runs during Spring Phase at The Hive with Dr. Ivan Lamourt ’82.
